The London office of the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) announced on October 2 that Seoul has been selected as the October Destination of the Month by Meetings & Incentive Travel (M&IT), the UK's leading MICE publication.
M&IT is the UK's oldest MICE publication, founded in 1985, and is one of the most read publications for MICE professionals in the UK with an annual circulation of 25,000.
Beginning in 2022, the magazine will feature a destination of the month each month that is currently garnering industry attention, and this is the first time Asia has been featured.
“Seoul is a vibrant city for international meetings and events, with a compelling local culture and competitive MICE infrastructure that appeals to the UK MICE industry,” said Paul Harvey, editor-in-chief. ”We chose Seoul as our October Destination of the Month because of the industry's growing interest in Korea and Seoul as MICE destinations.
The October issue will feature a detailed look at Seoul's MICE competitiveness, including its MICE infrastructure, MICE venues, incentive tourism and local attractions.
'This selection will strengthen Korea's position as a MICE destination in the UK,' said Kim Kyung-ju, Head of the London office of the Korea Tourism Organization (KOTRA), 'and we will continue to expand our promotional marketing efforts to give Korea an edge over competitors as a MICE-centric country.
